BondSim is an integrated visual modeling and simulation environment for study
of mechatronic and engineering systems in general. It supports model development based on
top-down system decomposition as well the model building from down up. It can be used for
solving complex multi-physics problems. The modeling formalisms supported are:
•
Bond Graphs,
• Continuous, and
• Discrete input-output block-diagrams.
When we open the BondSim application, e.g. by double-clicking its icon on the desktop, the program screen view appears as shown up above. It follows the Microsoft Visual Studio design. On the left are two tabbed windows: Model View, and Models Library. The first serves to show the hierarchical structure of the model currently under the work. The model library tab enables an easy access to the library of the models. On other screen side of the screen there are two tools lists>: Editing Box, and Template Box. They contains the tools that are used during the model developent applying pick-drag-and-place techniques. The central area serves to open the component document frame, which is used to develp the Bond Graph model of the current component. Finally, at the bottom of the frame there are the small windows, which are used for the messages generated during different phases of the work.
